Go Skatebording Day 2008

Sunday 22nd June 2008, another history painted down to our local skateboarding scene where a gathering being held at Jerudong Amusement Park in conjunctions with Go Skateboarding Day.
The event is organised by a skateboard enthusiast, a shop owner and a skateboarder him self Mr.chomp of Uneek. Millions of gratitude goes to him for making such a remarkable attributes towards the skateboard scene and at the same time making them more upbeat and closer to the kids heart till this day so that it would not fade through, hopefully from our generation to another generations.

The gathering start at 2:00 and stop at 7:00 due to a sudden heavy down pour, and only two activities are been carried out but I can tell everyone involve in taking part during the event surely had fun and enjoying them self among their fellow borders.

I showed up at 6:00 when I supposed to be there at 2ish and I only capable of collect few shots because I was so stoked just to see all of my old friends again and a constant distractions by a ''catching up chit chat'' and not to mentions the sick progression some of this kids made!! makes me missing alots of good snaps opportunities.

Once again I would like to congratulate Mr.chomp for making the whole local skateboarding scene more solidified from time to time!

Another Layers of Pigments..

Its my day off today, so i went out with a cousin of mine to checked out another art exhibitions (seems like it been two weeks straight now and since my love towards the subjects is unmeasurable hehe,.) and since he is an arty person him self so I drag and let him pick me up.

There is actually two places that I need to go and I managed to attend both of the event

and As usual I took plenty of shots but unfortunately the second event is kind of short because he have to leave early for some dubious reasons!! I should have drive and go by my self..

Anyway, I arrived at the Expressionist art exhibitions around 12 (It took place at Rimba Horticulture Business Center) and only spotted a handful of people, Most of them the were youngsters which is a good signed because it shows that this group of people still can go further with what they love and exploring them self and they surroundings and put it up on a varieties of medium.

The gallery was organised by an Ex-Maktab Duli students and I applaud them for their efforts in making the exhibitions running.. I get to know with few of them but didn't get the chances to ask their name.. The art piece is mainly done on a paper less canvas this times differ from the exhibitions I went last week and their work are very much indeed stunning..

I spend almost an hour there and by the time i walked out of the domain.. my purse of knowledge is beginning to thicken..

The second event was at the Mall Gadong. It an graffiti demo by the french street artist trio and it should had been carried out by 2:00 (now I understand more by the term of "fashionably Late" hmmpff..) but the ball only start rolling at 3:15 and anyhow it was a success altho i didn't stay till the whole thing finished like I explain to you earlier before.

They managed to draw in a large number of crowds and i can see the shopper around magnetized as they see the artist at work, making the whole space even crowded.. and the chances of me for a sick shot is low but nevertheless I enjoyed my self while i was there and I made couples of new friends in additions...

Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoying both of the event with my own eyes :D
Cheers...

An Infinite Rays of Spectrum..

I read the paper yesterday and come across on one page where I took extra times and read through immensely. Another Art exhibitions..

It was an collectives effort of student and teachers from Jerudong International School and some big corporate bodies involvement which I think made a huge success..

And so I came down to the Empire Hotel(where the event being held)today by my self taking my time enjoying and witness a space furnished by amazing and enchanting art work and designed from the JIS students which I managed to get a couple of snap shot of it.

I noticed that there is a beginning in awareness in our society about Art Culture..

Kudos to all the peoples who making such event, There are a lots of hidden talent that need to be discovered and polished among us,.. and one of them is in an Art Form...

Hope To see more of this again coming in the near future.

The warmth..

I had a tight schedule last weekend, Went home at 3 in the morning from work the previous night and woke up at 10 the next day. It was Sunday, the agendas was listed out in my head from the initial of the week and today is the day for me to go out and play.

I started with seeing limbo's at the hospital and followed by a walk through a gallery and finished up my day by heading down to the beach, the fun is getting intense by the time I was driving to fetch a friend's up...
Destination: Angel Beach.

It was Deekay birthday's (Happy birthday ms.mamboe!!) and all of the closest got invited and am so stoked and grateful to be there with them..

I haven't been to the coastlines in a while and the scent of the ocean breeze took over my sense as I set my foot out of the car.. and the warmth is perfectly weaved with it and once again it reminded me and tells me that everything in life is worth living :D

On The Surface of Canvas.

Back in school I took art as one of the subjects. I remembered when we were assigned with a piece, I always took them home but never actually do it my self, the reason behind that is because I thought I couldn't get the job done and laziness is the main issues to me, so I paid one of my classmate a dollar each piece through out the whole years and surprisingly I scored for my 'O' on the same year.Don't get me wrong, I always loves and adore any kinds of an art piece but before it was just up to that, but not until recently I found it as an another outlet for my overflowing excess energy and therapeutic in a sort of way.

Now it makes me understand and appreciate more whenever I see other peoples work,.. as well as getting my own piece done,...... this time around......

"Art to heart Exhibition"

Drawing & One of the few sculpture on display.

I got carried away and end up staying for an hour when I made a promise to a friend earlier that I wont took too long...
This man approached me when I was taking my time enjoying and hovering from one painting to another, and he said to me that I looked familiar to him its like he saw me before.
So I introduce my self and so did him and I remember seeing his name tagged over couples of few paintings hangings. His name is Zakaria.. and I am honored meeting the man who created some of the priceless piece.
His daughter putting a finishing touch up on one of his masterpiece.

A Different Kind Of a Setup...

My latest old Obsession: Photography....

When I was young, I remember one of my teacher back in the primary school asked everyone of us on what we wanted to be when we grew up. One by one my classmates stood up and present them self with what the wanted to be when they leave school someday..

Some wanted to be a policeman, a lawyer ,a doctors , fireman , even an actor and few wanted to be a entrepreneur but none wanted to be a photographer..
And I remember i proudly say that i wanted to be one.....

My older sister owns multiply vast range of magazines and books inside her room, and one of this magazine that she have on her book racks was a the National Geographic Magazines..
I loves looking at the pictures,.. it strikes me with wonders every time i lay an eyes on it.. Everything seems perfect and visually narrated in my mind..

I see an unbound interpretations, it is endless.. the colours, the composure the tiny little details is astonishingly played by the subject .. he doesn't have to spits a single words.. The captured images speak for it self...

It brings such pleasures and I remember.. it emanate joy to my being, I could stare at pictures after pictures for hours... back from school during my lunch times my mouth is full with food munching and my hand is flipping trough pages after pages...the last things i let go before i closed my eyes at night and the first thing I grab when i set my feet on the floor..
So i asked her one day... Who was responsible behind all of this perfect frame that it is so wondrous and thoughtful at the same time.. And she said to me: A Passion of a Photographer..
From that point on my obsessions start..

The First Encounter:
Dad used to own a Polaroid camera. He bought it when he was preforming haj in the late mid 80' .. My eyes grew larger, my heart beats out of the norm and my thought was over pouring the first time when I held it on my clutches.. Just to look over the viewfinder is a kinda of new experienced and very overwhelming.. I shoot picture all day until the cartridges runs out but unfortunately a refiled is very hard to get at that time so my passion dimmed but it never put off completely...

Now that i just recently owned my very first proper camera... the feeling that i felt some twenty years ago comes back and this time it come in a hundreds fold!...
I still could not get over it...
And from here, I will snaps and froze the phenomenon of the world thru my eyes and bring them back home with me ....and share it with all of you....
Enjoy.....
